Millions of families in Iraq had to flee their homes to escape from war and violence. Around one quarter of them currently lives in camps or camp-like conditions. With a continuously growing number of internally displaced people, there is an urgent need for effective camp management, which represents an important part of an effective humanitarian relief response.
Along with many stakeholders and a wide range of local partners, who are actively involved in the organization of camp-life, the camp management focuses on developing effective coordination mechanisms which supports the provision of assistance and protection.
Our Camp management aims to ensure the identification of supply gaps and the prevention of overlaps in services. We make every effort to guarantee the fundamental human right to live in dignity and safety in the camp communities.
RRI has successfully completed multiple projects in the core activities of camp management. Many of them were funded by international sponsors and different UN-agencies.
